Eligibility Requirements

Who Can Participate?

Winter Park Alpine ArtAffair is open to artists who will be present to exhibit work of their own concept, design and execution.  The show is juried to ensure overall quality and balance, with preference given to work reflecting the greatest degree of originality, creativity, and craftsmanship.  No manufactured, commercial, imported or kit work will be considered or permitted.  Only merchandise of artists selected by the jury will be allowed.  60-75 artists will be accepted.  Each artist participant must attend his/her booth and is responsible for insurance and sale of his/her artwork. No commission on sales is charged.

Each artist will need to submit six digital photos, including a booth image if possible, via the Zapplication application.  Please do not send samples.  Digital photos should be a good representation of your fine art.

Selection Process and Criteria

Understand how artists are chosen for the Winter Park Alpine ArtAffair and what criteria are used in the selection process.

What is the jury selection process?

The jury selection process involves a committee of art professionals who review submitted applications and artwork photos. Artists are evaluated based on originality, craftsmanship, and presentation. The decisions of the jury are final and based solely on the merits of the work displayed.

Are previous participants automatically accepted?

No, previous participation in the Winter Park Alpine ArtAffair does not guarantee acceptance. Each year, applications are reviewed independently to ensure a diverse and high-quality selection of artists.

What are the application deadlines?

The application deadline is May 1st, 2026. Artists will be notified of their acceptance status by May 15th. It is important to adhere to these dates to ensure consideration.

What are the booth requirements?

Each artist is allocated a 10 x 10 booth space. Artists must provide their own tents and displays, ensuring all equipment is weighted appropriately for outdoor conditions. The use of tent stakes is prohibited.

Is there a fee to participate?

Yes, there is a $35 non-refundable jury fee per applicant (Early Bird Application Fee: $30.00 until 2/20/2026). Accepted artists must also pay a $325 booth fee, which is non-refundable after June 20th, 2026. Double booth space ($600) may be purchased if available.

How is sales tax handled?

Artists are responsible for collecting an 11.2% sales tax on all sales. Tax forms will be provided at check-in, and taxes will be collected by show officials on the final day of the event.

Can booth space be shared?

Yes, booth space can be shared if both artists have paid the jury fees and have been accepted. Each artist must submit their own application and be approved by the jury.

Is there security provided?

While booth sitters are available during show hours, overnight security is not provided. Artists are responsible for securing their own displays and merchandise.
